Why the Camel?
Often the camel is used symbolically in the recovery world. Why is that? Well, read the little poem below and see if you can relate to this desert dweller. I hope so!
I love the CAMEL !! Everyday I ask God to help me live my day as a CAMEL. I even collect CAMEL things, so if any one has any Camel things, please share them with me. In closing, I hope everyone has a C"AA"MEL day !! Greg C.
In recovery house I attended. We were given a camel with the initails of the recovery program. We were then told that if a camel could go a whole day without a drink so can you. Guillermo
I like this so much, I stole it!!!K?

Oh please, we can't 'steal' anything from AA! We share :)
ReplyDeleteI heard about someone who stole a BB early in sobriety when he had no money to pay for it. (He made amends later when he could afford to).

They bite and they stink. Their meat isn't very good to eat but they go a long way without a drink!
